Hello, welcome to the home of The Cursed RPG. What is the Cursed RPG? Well it is a tabletop RPG I have been writting for the last few years with the help of some very good friends. I spent more than three years writing this game and I am now offering the players book for you to give a try. This will not be the final copy of the book. The book is almost completely free, all I am asking is that anyone who downloads the book e-mail me with problems, mistakes (either game wise, spelling or grammatical), or suggestions to me. I will not promise to follow every suggestions, but I will keep them in mind. But what is the Cursed RPG? Well...

Throughout history they have been called many things. Shamans, medicine men, wise women, witches, wizards, sorcerers, profits, heretics, the Cursed.

The world of the Cursed is the same as our world, the streets are the same, the stores are the same, it�s the characters that are different. The characters were normal once, then they received "the gift." The gift is the ability to sense beyond the normal into the realm of the supernatural. Some can see the world of spirits, others escaped the other world, while some spent years learning control and alter the natural laws.

The Cursed RPG is a low powered urban fantasy game. Magic isn't real, there are no vampires or werewolves, and here not be monsters. Well, that is what the mass majority want to believe at least. Your character is one of the unfortunate ones who get to learn the truth the hard way. While you play someone capable of wielding great mystical powers, it isn't as good as it sounds. Your character may be more powerful than his mortal ken, he is still the lowest man on the supernatural ladder.

*Note* On August 20, 2010, I have slightly edited the players book. It has its pages numbered, it has a table of content, there is a quick look at Character creation at the start of Chapter two, and the skills, rituals, spells, and psychic powers have been put in simple lists at the end of the book.

*Note* On Sept 8, 2010, I noticed I put the wrong edition up on the page. I put the one without page numbers and that has been corrected. I also found out I misspelled poor Edwin's last name, which is also corrected.

This will not be the final copy of the book. When I feel that all the mistakes are found and I actually get around to it, I will add images to the book. I am now also working on the second book, the GM's guide. The second book will have lost magic, sample magic items, sample high tech toys, creature stats, and a few extra rules for GMs. I will post a few of each on the site as an example and to help GMs find things to throw at the players. Only the GM should be looking in the GM section.

When the players book is finished and the art is added it will still be free to download, but I may make it available through a self-publishing site to buy. The same goes with the GM's book and any supplement that are written. You will not have to pay a dime if you do not want to, but I would appreciate feedback, plus donations are always welcome. Feel free to download, play and share this game with your friends. In fact, I would love for you to tell everyone you know about the Cursed RPG (hopefully you will tell them good things). You may use this game anyway you wish, except to make a profit, but if you do make a profit, please send me my share. Did I mention that donations are very much welcome and appreciated? As much as I would appreciate donations however, I would like feed back even more. Just a few things to keep in mind while reading and playing the Cursed RPG. First off, I am lazy. I use the masculine form of pronouns because, in general, it is one less letter to type. Also, please keep in mind I am Canadian, so if something looks like it is spelled wrong, there is a chance it is just the Canadian spelling of the word (though there is a better chance I just spelled it wrong). I sometimes switch between Canadian and American spelling, but that is mainly because my spell checker seems to like to switch from one to the other randomly. Also, most measurements are in metric and then imperial units. The conversion is only rough, just to give a general idea. That and this is a free role-playing game, I put a lot of work into it, but figuring out the conversion to the umpteenth decimal point is more than I am willing to do.

I have put the very rough edition of the GM Book for the game up. It will be riddled with mistakes, grammatical, and spelling mistakes (and Canadian spelling), but it will give GMs something to work with. I would love to get some feed back from those who take a look through the book. Where are the mistakes, what did I forget to add, that sort of thing. And speaking of feedback, I now have a forum up and ready. I signed up for a free account and I hope I did it right. I would appreciate it if people got some use out of the forum.

I now have some variant classes and extra bonuses and penalties for the player's section online. I hope you enjoy.

*Note* May 13. I finished my proof reading of the GM's book (sorry it took me so long). I hope to have the book edited soon. The Player's book is half way through being edited.
